Dr. Ahmad Byagowi is a leading expert in time and frequency synchronization for hyperscale network infrastructure. As a research scientist, he focuses on building the next generation of deterministic, timing-aware cloud architectures.

He holds dual PhDs, in Electrical Engineering (Control Systems) from the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) and in Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba, where he also serves as an Adjunct Professor.

Dr. Byagowi is a key contributor to the Open Compute Project (OCP) and is the founder of the Time Appliances Project (TAP), an industry initiative driving open innovation in high-precision timing for data centers and edge environments.

His work plays a pivotal role in enabling ultra-reliable time distribution at scale, a foundational requirement for modern financial, telecommunications, industrial and AI infrastructure.
