The PTP Slave-Only Clock (SO) from NetTimeLogic is a full hardware only implementation of a SO as defined in IEEE1588-2008. It implements all algorithms directly in hardware, no software or soft-core CPU is needed. The Slave-Only Clock is based on the Ordinary Clock from NetTimeLogic which is run in Slave-Only clock mode, meaning that it will never distribute time in a network.
